I have a friend, whose heart I hold dear, who knows we're never too old to make-believe. It is for you that I have created this piece of fractal art, and to everyone who dreams.
Fractal are neat the way many small entities combine to form a greater entity with the same form. What may be the ultimate fractal is relationships. Relationships between atomic particles, between biological cells, between people, between worlds, between galaxies.
I think, but could be wrong, that you are a materialist. If this is true, you won't like my explanation of why I think the Universe is a fractal.
Do you remember that image I sent you three or so years ago in which an image of a neuron was paired with an image of the universe? Do you remember how similar they looked?
Maybe our Universe is a neuron in a bigger brain. :)
The fractals I make are not really the common fractals that you're thinking of. These are called "flame fractals" and they use different calculation techniques than "regular" fractals.
Probably the best piece of flame fractal software is Apophysis.
Not sure exactly what a materialist believes. But I do know that if the material is 100,000,000,000 neurons forming a human brain, that material can give rise (as emergent phenomena) to all sorts of highly spiritual phenomena, such as love, hate, desire, thirst... Thus spirit can ride upon material.

Sophia, Klaus, Don, Raymond, Siegfried, Mossy, Bob, Alexander, all beings and the universe is God playing make-believe with Himself.
Siegfried, are you trying to come up with a name for the fractal? :)
Don,
The Universe is a fractal. :)
Klaus,
He picked some nice characters. :)
Sophia,
Yes, the Universe may very well be a fractal.
But it helps to flesh that out a bit.
What within it has the fractal form?
I've already stated that relationships seem to have that form.
Perhaps also masses.
Might be fun to try to name others.
Sophia,
Your fractal art - I'm wondering what makes it fractal art.
In the image you posted "To a good friend" I see forms which seem to be normal geometrical shapes, but not fractals.
No criticism intended, I'm just trying to clarify this.
