Is it my ego that wants enlightenment?

Ironically yes. But he is not the one who is going to receive it.

Who is saying "my ego"? I mean which part of you?

Just simply sit still and find out.

There is really no ego or I. Just thoughts and ideas. in your head.
Or is only the ego and I. And it is made up of thoughts and concepts.
The ego cannot be enlightened. It can only change for the worse or for the better. It depends.
Reality is made up of thoughts. Nothing else. It is matter. Or whatever.
Whatever.

Not all of the ego is selfish. The best part of it is a servant of the real Self.

Mossy,

Why would ego want to search for something that would cause his demise?

Vincent,

It's my ego that says "my ego".

Cookie,

The way things are looking, I have some time ahead of me to spend in meditation.

Siegfried,

You posted that at 11:11.

The ego intellectualizes that it is only ego. So if the ego knows it is ego, then it must surely know there is something there that is not ego.

How to get to it.

Mossy,

Is Self the same thing as God?

Wow... Siegfried, I just realized that I posted that 11:11 comment at 11:11, myself. I love this stuff.
