The most amazing magic is to find wonder in the commonplace, the astonishing quality hidden within the mundane, and the healing that is especially present in the pain.
I hope I can more often leave more enjoyable things for others to help brighten their days. I feel guilty sometimes for writing about my bad days, but sometimes this blog is the only release I have.
I don't really use BeliefNet much. I did for a week or two, but I guess I lost interest in it. I have been using FaceBook quite heavily, and I've realized it's one of the best ways to stay in touch with friends. I'm still exploring Twitter but it seems quite simple - all it is really is a means of letting friends and family know what you're up to in a short sentence. FaceBook has that feature, too, so I don't really know that I'll be using Twitter much. But all these social networks are wonderful ways to make a conscious connection with people.
Would you like for me to send you an invite to FaceBook?
Exploration of the higher realms can become addictive, I'm thinking, to a point where one can fail to find pleasure in the mundane. But, since we're living here a lifetime at least, I think it's best to also acknowledge the value of what is before our physical senses. All in all, such things are not as mundane as they seem. :)
Thanks, Nin. It seems that what they say is true, that one accumulates more wisdom as one ages. Wisdom comes at a price. :)
There is so much going on in an unknown kinda way. It's hard for me to describe.... I don't know if it's just my perception, but everyone seems to be coming together or speeding up to something big. I don't know why I doubt myself either, but it could be fear of the unknown. Just like when I was a kid and afraid of the basement. :)
Facebook seems to work very well for me. I'm sometimes very bad about emails, and occasionally people get upset at me for not keeping up with emails. Facebook helps me keep in touch much easier, and it helps keep me from getting into trouble!
Oftentimes I feel like I can't contain myself any longer either. There is much to be excited about, but then, realistically, there is much to be worried about, too. There's that scene in the movie "Contact" which is somehow appropriate:
"You're an interesting species; an interesting mix. Capable of such exquisite dreams; such horrifying nightmares. Technologically you've advanced very quickly -- some think too quickly.
Ted from "Contact" - after the wormhole trip.
You say "I don't know if it's just my perception, but everyone seems to be coming together or speeding up to something big." That's just what would happen if MFT (My Favorite Topic) were to come about. However, since that's a faith-based belief and can't be proved, it's just up for debate.
In general, however, usually (since I don't show the downside much) I do agree with the title to your post.
I feel the magic on my walks mostly at night when the sky is clear and I have a radio along playing and all the radio towers are visible all around the horizon and the city lights and the stars and planets and maybe the moon are all visible and I think to myself "This is where one can directly see that the globe is linked by radio waves. The whole Earth given the ability to communicate. The whole Earth becoming One."

It's always fun to visit here and see what new little gift you've left us each day. :)
I haven't done anything with twigger yet. Do you go into beliefnet much?
Very nice.

You have very good insight and wisdom, Sophie. I don't know why you doubt yourself so much sometimes.
As for Facebook, I'm not sure yet. I'm pretty active on Beliefnet, but I'll consider that. :)

With an open mind, a compassionate heart and an acceptance of ones self, we can all feel the wonders and joys around us on a daily basis.
Sophia,

Jon,
Have you ever noticed that when you get into a good flow, more and more good things start to happen?
It's like a wave of goodness.
Hi Don,
I bet you feel the magic when you take your walks to the river.
Depending on where I am in my mood cycles, I focus on the magic and goodness or I focus on the sadness and bad things of the world.
Sophia,
I feel the magic on my walks mostly at night when the sky is clear and I have a radio along playing and all the radio towers are visible all around the horizon and the city lights and the stars and planets and maybe the moon are all visible and I think to myself "This is where one can directly see that the globe is linked by radio waves. Don,
You are inspired. :)
Sophia,
Thanks. I try, anyway.
