All of the hiking trails were closed at the park I camped at because so many trees are down from Ike, so I just took my dogs on some walks on the roads throughout the campground.
I do not know what I am going to find in the cards, but I have found some of the symbolism to at least have personal meaning to me. The book on Kabbalah that I am reading also speaks of Tarot cards as they relate to the paths between the Sephiroth.
I first noticed The Moon card because of the two pillars. For a year and a half now I have been followed around by the number 11, mostly through 11:11 on the clocks. I realized that the number 11 looked like two pillars. Pillars often are found at the entrance to temples or buildings. By walking through them we move from the outer to the inner. The space between the two ones or pillars is the path.
I am sure there might be other interpretations to this, or maybe even the definitive interpretation, but these are things that I found in the symbolism.
I am glad that you found this interesting. More and more I have noticed symbolism around me.
Numerically 11 represents the beginning of a new cycle from 1 to 10.
Esoterically it might indicate "Begin again" or begin the next part of something. This is also something like passing through a threshold defined by 2 pillars.
I still think that it is nice if the meaning is somehow absorbed by something more than the mind.

Did you find a difficult path on you camping trip? The Path tarot card certainly looks difficult.

I find it interesting that a couple of days ago I took a "which tarot card are you" meme which ended up with my card being the Moon.

That's the beauty of symbolism. They are subliminal messages to our subconscious that can't be exactly defined using our intellect alone.
The way you describe the number 11 as a new beginning also shows similarity to Shiva as I showed in the post on The Dance.
