I'm back from camping, and have a few videos and photos to share with you. This was Peabody's first camping trip, and he was an excellent camper. He'd make a great boyscout. If you have a dial-up connection, you won't be able to watch the videos. The first video is of an interesting fuzzy little caterpillar I saw. I've only seen about two of these in my entire life. I've seen other "fuzzies" but only two of this type. He was on our picnic table until I picked him up and put him on a nearby tree. The second video is of Peabody and Princess. They play like this often, usually several times a day. It's great exercise for Princess, because as you can see she is a bit overweight, and since we adopted Peabody in June, she's lost a few pounds. The rest are photos taken here and there throughout the trip.
On a side note, I will get to respond to comments tomorrow morning. I missed you guys. It would be nice if I had a laptop and the park had wi-fi access.
I spent some time with Jed McKenna's second book, _Spiritually Incorrect Enlightenment_. I'll probably say some things about it tomorrow when I have more time.

Welcome back Sophia!
I love to watch dogs play. My girlfriend brings her dog over sometimes, and they play hard. I have an Australian Shepard which is 85 lbs, and her dog is about the same size as Peabody but thinner.
BTW that is a strange looking creature crawling on the leaf lol... :) Be well!
Looks like a lot of fun -
Nice shots!
Nice swf too!
Blogger is getting better.
Great vidz ¦:¬|
Hi Lucid,
I'm glad to be back. I like camping, but I start to get fidgety when I can't access the Internet. I'll be the first to admit that I have an Internet addiction! It doesn't negatively affect my life, though. In fact, it affects it in rather a very positive way.
The difference in weight between your dog and your friend's dog is about the same as Peabody's and Princess's. Peabody tries to play with my mom's dog, too, but my mom's dog is an older beagle. He'll play with Peabody for a little while, and then he's like, "Enough!" He'll become stand-offish. Well, I think these young pups are good for the older dogs. It brings youth back into their lives.
Oh, I don't know what kind of caterpillar that is. I suppose I'll have to find out so that I can satisfy my curiosity!
Have a wonderful week! :)
Hi Paul,
Nice to meet you. It was fun! Especially the stargazing at night. We used binoculars, which brought out many many stars that are invisible to the naked eye. With binoculars, the night sky looks like black construction paper with silver glitter scattered all over it. Someday I hope to ameliorate this by getting myself a telescope!
Thanks for the visit!
Hi anonymous,
Thank you. However, I don't know what an swf is, unless you mean a type of file.
Yes, Blogger keeps improving and surprising me. I've never even thought about switching to another brand!
Hope you have a great week. :)
Hi Twit,
Thanks! The actors were top quality! :)
Glad you are back and that you had a good time. Thanks for sharing!
Mark,
Thanks! Good to see you today. :)
I don't know if it is true or not, but I heard that the beautiful caterpillars are usually poisonous. If you find out what it is def let me/us know!
:) Take care!
Telescope and binnoculars - I used to love doing those. Kept the binnoculars in my glove compartment for the beach - no, not girls, lol, the horizon. Well, OK, once or twice girls, when I was in my teens, but it made me feel like a creep so I stopped!
So what is this, true confessions??
Anyway, the telescope was really great. One time I focused on what I thought was the brightest star in the sky and when it came into focus I saw two or three little dots near it. From what I could figure at the time, it must have been Jupiter and a couple of its moons.
Sophia,
I found out they are really flv files. I found them in the temporary internet files.
It's very easy to convert video files from one format to another these days. Even to dvd if you what to see them on your tv screen. But nowadays you don't even need to because there are dvd players that can play divx avi files too.
Anyway, been too busy to think about anything else. Most people don't know what you are going thru; they expect you to react in a certain way. I mean most people feel miserable and they don't know it. So they run away most of the time. And are losing the battle.
How do you survive all that? I guess I am turning into an alpha male and I am making friends as well as enemies. I hope I don't become a sexual magnet too, which is probably not a bad idea. But I have to be careful.
Hi Lucid,
According to the page below, this is a Pale Tussock Moth caterpillar, also known as the Banded Tussock Moth.

This page is interesting all by itself, and worth looking at in detail.
This page talks about the Pale Tussock Moth:

It doesn't say this particular caterpillar is poisonous. I bet the poisonous ones are even prettier.
Paul,
Heheh... when I was a teenage girl, I used to watch the boy across the street when he was in the garage. So I've done it myself! Now I put binoculars to better use by looking at stars and birds. :)
I guess this is true confessions!
For the past few weeks I've been keeping my eye on Jupiter and Antares. I enjoy watching Antares flicker, a bit below and to the right of Jupiter. I've looked at them with binoculars, too, but didn't get to see the moons.
Someday I'll have a telescope, and will be able to see these things!
This past weekend, I caught an intriguing double star and stared at it for a while, using the binoculars, of course.
Anonymous,
I don't even know what flv files are! I know about avi and mov, but that's about it as far as video is concerned.
I'm glad you mentioned DVDs, because it has reminded me to put all my videos on them so I can watch them on the t.v. I have lots of videos scattered throughout on various CDs and on my hard drive. My digital camera is really cool; it has a feature that allows me to make videos of fairly decent quality!
I used to be a sexual magnet, until the past couple of years, when I put on weight. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. Would be nice, though, to have all that attention again, but my focus is now elsewhere, and if I ever get rid of my ego, I won't even care about my looks much anymore.
I think you are turning into a daikini. Well, everywhere I go I keep running into daikinis. Anyway, they can be very pretty and sexy too.
Flv's are flash files and swf's are shockwave files. That's all I know. If you download you-tube videos, they are ususally in flv format, so you need a flv player to see them offline. Or you could convert them into avi divx or xvid files.
If you see a flv file online, there is a big chance that you will find them back in your temporary cache. Try searching for *.flv
That's how I got copies of your videos.
Yes, but dakinis aren't meant to be sex symbols, even though they are depitictions of naked women. They are dancing and moving energy, and can come to test you to see if you are weak.
Thanks for the tip on the video files. I'd like to figure out how to put YouTube videos on my iPod.
