Happy Friday

Friday = Freya's Day
Planet = Venus
On the Tree of Life Venus is the 7th sephirah, Netzah.

Don't make her jealous or you may find yourself sorting seeds.

When on high the heaven had not been named,
Firm ground below had not been called by name,
Naught but primordial Apsu, their begetter,
And Mummu-Tiamat, she who bore them all.

I have never heard of Enuma Elish until now. Thanks for the introduction. I'm trying to learn a lot about mythology. I just started a book called "Don't Know Much About Mythology", but I have long had an interest in how days and months got their names.

Have you ever read Gilgamesh?

I've read that the Enuma Elish was written by the mysterious Sumerians. Their language doesn't fit with any main family of languages. I've read portions of Gilgamesh online and my copy is sitting with a stack of books that have been staring me down for half a year now. It's mostly comprised of Sumerian mythology, but first I'm going to finish the last few pages of the Bhagavad Gita, then perhaps the Mahabharata proper, English translation. Sophia,
Most of the people love Fridays, no because is the day assigned to the Goddess of Love and Beauty, but because it is usually the last day of the work week. I prefer to think that all the seven days are made to love...

Nice. Like this, there are also many significances and virtues of Friday in Islam.
( In Urdu language, friday is known as juma ka din )

Muslims respect Friday because, according to Islamic tradition, it was the first day of creation when God created the heavens and earth. It is also believed to be the day when the resurrection will take place and so it will be the Day of Judgment. Muslims believe that Friday has a special cosmic significance and it is a very blessed day of the week. This is the main day of weekly religious service in Islam.
