Spooky was 4 months old when we got him. He was a little Boston alley cat. My brother was living there and he wanted to get him off the street, so I said I would take him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069115106901769901.post-8798966956392028222009-01-31T13:59:00.000-05:002009-01-31T13:59:00.000-05:00My cats are up there in yrs. The vet agreed with my guess that she was about seven months old. A neighbor of ours has a male Tuxedo cat, and I am not sure whether or not he is neutered. When we took Polly in, she had a big gash across her nose, possibly from a cat fight. There is still a very faint scar. We took her to have her spayed, and after they opened her for the surgery, they determined she had already been spayed. (Maybe that's why she doesn't like me - I was the first face she saw when she woke up from that!)

What color are your cats?Sophiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12988429133719659700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069115106901769901.post-30277974201823059162009-01-30T20:54:00.000-05:002009-01-30T20:54:00.000-05:00Deb,That's a good way to put it - "Cat-a-tude"!! ...Deb,

That's a good way to put it - "Cat-a-tude"!! I've never seen anything like it. I've heard some people over the years complain about the independence of cats and I never believed them until Polly showed up!

I looked through the pages of Stasia - her personality shines in those pictures. Does your daughter have other cats?

I don't know if this is common in Tuxedo cats, but Polly has a few whispy white hairs scattered throughout the black fur. I thought she'd outgrow that but I'm glad to see she didn't.Sophiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12988429133719659700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069115106901769901.post-55437481260301312182009-01-30T20:50:00.000-05:002009-01-30T20:50:00.000-05:00Oh, sorry. Do you know Polly's background? Cats that were raised by only their mothers without human contact are more apt to be aloof with people, than those that had human nuturing from birth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069115106901769901.post-32326802513044218852009-01-30T20:48:00.000-05:002009-01-30T20:48:00.000-05:00NinRose,My husband thinks she'll become more affec...NinRose,

My husband thinks she'll become more affectionate when she's older. Right now she's about a year and seven months old. Strangely, she's very affectionate and playful toward our beagle - she adores him!

We free-feed our cats dry food, and then at 5:00pm every day the four of them split a can of moist food as a treat.
